How to Create a Dunning Letter
Purpose: This job aid will provide step-by-step instruction for how to create a Dunning Letter.
Step 1: From the Financials Homepage, click on the Receivables & Deposits tile.
Step 2: In the Customers folder, click the Extract Dunning Letter Info link.
Step 3: If you have previously run the Extract Dunning Letter Info process and saved your previous Run Control, search for and select the existing Run Control on the Find Existing Value tab.
If you have not previously saved a Run Control for Extract Dunning Letter Info, on the Add New Value tab, enter any value for your Run Control ID (ex. “EXRCTDUNNGINFO”) and click Add.
Step 4: Key in information for the following fields:
- As of date: Enter the date to run the report as of, for example, month end date
- SETID: Select “SHARE”
- Unit: Enter the Business Unit
- Customer ID: Enter a specific Customer ID to run for one Customer or enter wildcard “%” to run the for all Customers.
- Correspondence Customer: Enter “%”
- Dunning Group: Select “All Groups”
- Select the “Use Severest Dunning Letter” radio button
Click Save to save the Run Control ID with entered information for future use and click Run.

Step 5: Check the checkbox for “Dunning for all letters” and click Ok.
Step 6: Click the Process Monitor link.
Step 7: Once the Run Status is “Success” and the Distribution Status is “Posted”, click on the Report Manager link.
Step 8: Click the “ARX33000 – ARX – 33000.pdf” link to locate the generated PDF.
Step 9: Click the ARX33000.pdf link to open the PDF.
Step 10: You have successfully created a dunning letter!
