Submitting a Self-Service Time Entry and Approval SAR
The Self-Service Time Entry and Approval System Access Request (SAR) service request is intended for Payroll System Access Approvers (SAAs) to request access on behalf of users to SS Time Entry and Approval in SF People & Pay. The service request, available only to Payroll SAAs, is located in the System Access Folder of our SERVICE CATALOG.
If you are not currently a Payroll SAA and would like to submit a system access request, please contact an existing Payroll SAA to submit the HR and Payroll System Access Approver Designation service request to designate you as your department’s Payroll SAA.
Completing the Self-Service Time Entry and Approval SAR Service Request
Note: Requesters cannot request access for themselves.
Step 1. Payroll SAA must complete department and SS Time Reporter/Approver Information.
- If requesting SS Time Entry access, proceed to Step 2.
- If requesting only SS Time Approval access, proceed Step 3.
Step 2. Indicate whether to Add or Remove SS Time Entry access.
- If you are also requesting SS Time Approval access, proceed to Step 3.
- If you are only requesting SS Time Entry access, proceed to Step 7.
Step 3. Indicate whether to Add or Remove SS Time Approval access. The Add/Remove option is intended for swapping Roster Code access.
Step 4. If you select Add or Add/Remove CON0TL50 Self-Service Time Approval, indicate whether your employee is currently a Self-Service Time Approver. If you select Remove, proceed to step 5.
- If you select No, Confidentiality Form Attached, please acknowledge that you have attached the confidentiality form.
Step 5. Indicate Roster Code information to update.
Step 6. Certify that the user has completed the required CON0TL050 Self-Service Time Approval course. CON0TL50 is a required course for SS Time Approvers, and user must have completed the required course before this request is submitted. Please forward the How to Enroll into SF People & Pay and Payroll Academy Courses solution article to your user if they require instructions on self-enrollment.
Requester must acknowledge course completion and if your user completed the required CON0TL050 class for the first time, attach the course completion to the request. The SF Employee Portal Support team can view previous course completions.
Step 7. To submit your request, click the:
- Attach a file link to include your supporting documents.
- Add cc link to copy a team member.
- Place Request button to submit your request.
You will receive an emailed confirmation when your ticket is submitted. The SF Employee Portal Support team will contact SAAs if we have questions about the submitted SAR. We will resolve your ticket when we complete updating the requested Self-Service Time Entry/Approval access.
