How to Use New PeopleSoft Back Buttons

A labeled back button above the Navigation Collection is now available in PeopleSoft, allowing you to navigate back to the previously visited item. For example, the Procurement Back button navigates you back to the Procurement homepage. Use this labeled PeopleSoft Back button instead of the web browser back button because your browser’s back button does not retain navigation history.

When you navigate to a page that opens a new tab in your browser window, you will notice that the Back button does not have a specific label, instead containing a generic “Back” label. The generic “Back” button is inactive and will not navigate to your previous page or any other page because no page history exists in your new tab. Click the original tab to the left of your new tab to return to the previous page.
